A growing Central Florida bagel franchise is continuing its expansion across Tampa Bay with a new location planned for the Feather Sound area.

Jeff’s Bagel Run will open at 2325 Ulmerton Road #1 in the Feather Sound Square retail plaza across from the Carillon Office Park, replacing an OB/GYN office, according to plans submitted to the City of St. Pete.

Local franchisee Tony Trunzo plans to renovate the 1,320-square-foot storefront into a bagel shop with limited indoor seating.

The concept has built a following around its boiled-and-baked bagels, which are made on-site throughout the day using a five-ingredient recipe of flour, water, salt, malt, and yeast.

The shop still serves classic New York-style staples like plain, everything, sesame, asiago, cinnamon raisin, and blueberry bagels, but also offers more creative offerings like Cacio e Pepe, Lemon Blueberry, Pepperjack Everything, Cinnamon Roll, and Lemon Poppy.

The Lemon Blueberry bagel combines blueberry and lemon flavors with a sugary topping that gives it a muffin-like sweetness, while the Pepperjack Everything adds melted pepper jack cheese for extra spice and crunch.

The house-made cream cheese lineup mixes traditional flavors with more playful seasonal options.

Customers can still order staples like plain, chive onion, veggie, and strawberry cream cheese, alongside less traditional flavors like Roasted Jalapeño, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Mango, and “Scoop Froggy Frog,” a mint chocolate chip-inspired flavor created in collaboration with Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.

The Feather Sound shop follows the company’s recent expansion into South Tampa, where it opened its first Tampa location earlier this year. Another Pinellas County location is also planned for Oldsmar.

Jeff’s Bagel Run was founded by Jeff and Danielle Perera after the couple relocated to Central Florida in 2016 and struggled to find the kind of New York-style bagels they grew up with.

During the pandemic, Jeff began personally delivering freshly baked bagels to friends, neighbors, and local businesses, a side hustle that eventually grew into the company’s first brick-and-mortar shop in Ocoee.

The brand has since grown to 35 locations across Florida, Texas, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

In 2024, the company acquired Otus Coffee, which now supplies coffee to Jeff’s Bagel Run stores. The beverage menu includes cold brews, nitro cold brews, specialty lattes, and flavored lemonades.

Most Jeff’s Bagel Run locations are open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram for the grand opening announcement of the new shop and the latest Bagel of the Day specials.
